Hiya mate

Game is constantly evolving at the moment as they have gone to a 6 week update schedule.  Been fixing a lot of old broken stuff and introducing new stuff as well.

Personally I'm not playing so much these days as busy with kid, dog, work etc etc but I still manage to log in most weeks :)

Hey Pembo.

Eve is very much alive and changing. Some changes are good and some controversial. UI experience has been improved a lot though the looks of it can be debated. It looks like cheap sci-fi console thingy now, but overall the functionality is going to better direction. Eve was never really a very intuitive UI experience to begin with so it's good that it's gone through some streamlining.

Graphics engine has had a massive boost for the better with new shaders, bells & whistles.

Ships/modules have gone through many balancing passes and changes, for example force (?) recon ships are not detected by d-scan to mention one of the latest changes. Also they introduced a "jump fatique" element on all the ships using jump drives to make cap ops more tactical and also to prevent ridiculous power projection  in shitload of caps/supers to be jumped to any conflict from another side of the galaxy on short notice. Big entities have to consider more carefully where & when to deploy their cap/super force because it's not so mobile anymore.

Industry UI is totally reworked, but cannot comment more on that since I use it so little.

Clone grades are gone, no need to upgrade your clone now and you don't lose skill points when podded unless flying a t3 cruiser.

RP & back story of Eveverse has had a significat boost the last few patches, new NPC "Drifters", new wormhole system Thera and nice events which explain why things are evolving the way they do.

CCP is gathering info from players on Player Owned Structures and how their mechanics should be changed in the future. Also ccp tells there is major sov mechanics coming soon (tm), but I wouldn't hold my breath on that anytime soon.

FUN is alive and kicking. It's quiet some of the time, but we have still had some great fun in Syndicate. Member base is still a bit too thin, but so it has been for years and we all have come to accept it I think. Syndicate has gone through some big changes in the parts we live in. Evoke is gone to help their bigger allies (N3 & co) in Sov-warfare, one Danish corp came to back systems but are now gone to another parts of Syndicate. Now we just mostly waiting for new neighbors to arrive and see if they bring more targets to shoot at or choose a more friendly approach. German (non-Evoke) corps are still around and blue as they have traditionally been. Bigger fleets come and go by 0LT: CAS, FA, Goons, but it's hard to get a fight that you won't be blobbed to oblivion. All in all Syndicate is good, though a little quiet atm.

Cheers

Sounds interesting, I like the sound of not loosing sp's when podded.

Thanks for the run down. I might actually check out the game again, when one of the free invites from ccp comes up again.
