EVE Online: Incursion 1.0.0 has been deployed
30 November 2010, 2:28 pm

EVE Online: Incursion 1.0.0 has been deployed. It features a new salvaging ship, the Noctis, a vast number of player-requested improvements and fixes as well as important server-side optimizations. For more information about the Incursion expansion, please visit our expansion website.

For the full patch notes please click here. To report issues with EVE Online: Incursion 1.0.0 please post in this thread. For all other feedback and questions please use this thread.

EVE Online: Incursion will be released in three parts. This is the first installment with the second part coming on December 14 when we remove learning skills. The final release in January will contain the new character creator and Sansha Incursions. Full details can be found in the release blog from CCP Zulu and in the official press release.

A client update has been made available and will be offered when you log in after patching. This client update can be declined but we highly recommend that all players apply it. For more information, please refer to this thread.

Very stoked for this update. Here is some reasons why (these are basically my highlights for this patch)

-Rockets have had an explosion velocity boost. It means they will inflict more damage on faster moving targets whilst also gaining a straight damage boost through changes to rocket damage and rocket launcher rate of fire.
-The EVE client is now resizable in Windowed mode, allowing the players to stretch their client over several monitors. Now EVE Online is much more beautiful in ultra-widescreen resolutions. This feature is not available in the Mac Client.
-There is a new version of Windowed Mode called Fixed Window. It is similar to the regular Windowed Mode but lacks any title bars, frames or borders. Fixed Window is not available in the Mac client
-A new option, ?Horizontal offset? has been added to the settings menu. It allows the player to have all menus on one monitor and focus on his ship in another monitor.
-EVE now supports anti-aliasing. The beauty of virtual space has never been more? beautiful. Anti-aliasing is unfortunately disabled on the Mac client at the moment. We are working hard to get the anti-aliasing feature enabled in our Mac client in a future release.
-Microwarpdrives now have their own brand new icon. (ok not so much but still cool)
-Ships are now coming out of warp smoother, without ?rubber-banding?.

I'm particularly stoked for the graphics options. I think on dual screens (or more) it is a great idea to have all your ui items on one screen and your ship view on another. Even better is the ability to stretch them across screens.

The game also supporting anti-alaising should be nice. I'm downloading hte patch now, and am looking forward to seeing what kind of visual effect this will give the game. Should be most noteable on zoomed in ships and stations, in the texture pixelation.

That rocket buff should make my flycatcher probably right on par with a sabre now.

Anyone else bumped about some changes?
